Referee Assessment
All articles considered for publication are subjected to a double-blind peer-review system. Following international guidelines, the procedure adopted by the Journal of Individual Psychology is as follows:
-
The Editor-in-Chief, in consultation with the Editor-in-Chief, collects the Authors' papers and verifies that the articles meet the editorial requirements of the Journal. If not, appropriate revisions and/or additions are requested from the Authors to bring the article in line with the Journal's standards.
-
For each accepted article, the Editor-in-Chief and the Editor identify two Referees from among S.I.P.I.'s Didactics and Pre-Didactics who voluntarily collaborate, with a view to service, in the management of the Journal. The choice is made according to the Referees' areas of expertise and they entrust the manuscript to be evaluated without the indication of the Author. Throughout the process, the anonymity of Referees and Authors is maintained.
-
The evaluation of Referees is guided by a special form that enables evaluation based on uniform criteria. In conclusion, the Referees make an overall judgment as to whether or not the article should be published; they may also make suggestions to the Author to improve the reviewed text. Under no circumstances may comments be offensive or detrimental to the integrity of the Author.
-
At the end of the evaluation, the form prepared by the Referees is shared with the Authors. In case of discrepancies between the Referees' judgments , the final decision on the publication of the article rests with the Editor-in-Chief.
