Adler is credited with anticipating modern socio-psychological thinking. His ideas spread in Italy between 1943 and 1946, when Freud's thinking was dominant, thanks to the work of Karl Feller, who was involved in a socio-psychological information campaign to organize programs for non-Italian refugees who found themselves in Italy at the end of World War II. Feller's activities were many and varied: he ran an important holiday camp and organized an experimental school of educational psychology with an adjoining clinical-psychological dispensary based on Adlerian principles. The author knew him and, thanks to him, became interested in Adler, struck by the practical nature of his teaching. Reading Adler provides a concrete, practical understanding of incorrect behavior in order to achieve better adaptation to the social environment
