Abstract

Four recent Adlerian events aroused the following considerations binding memories and perspectives. The first one event is the Berlin meeting which took place in the spring of 2017 on "Power and Psychotherapy"; the second one is a remembrance day for Francesco Parenti and Pier Luigi Pagani (Milan, 10 September 2017); the third one deals with James Hillman's article, "Power and Gemeinschaftsgefühl" (1988), and the fourth one is the XXVII National Congress SIPI (Brescia, 13-15 April 2018). These events are linked with some connective ideas, taken from various works, about psychotherapy today and its relationship with art and neuroscience.
The reflection is much more important as it comes to light from the one side the failure of Freudian psychoanalysis that wanted to make scientific the myth of the instincts; from the other side the development of neuroscience that seems to colonize each narrative area and every space of desire
