Abstract

The article deals with the crisis or the loss of the meaning of life in adolescents and the consequent emotional desert, boredom and anger. The emotional desert involves the drying up of emotions and feelings in a horizon of extreme individualism. The bored teenager feels an impulse toward a furious fun with the despair that follows and his indifference towards values lets him live in a present that has no past and no future. Anger that can spill over into violence towards people and objects shows us how difficult it is nowadays to be able to accept pain as inescapable dimension of life. Only the perspective openness to hope can make a seemingly meaningless life worth living
