Abstract

The coronavirus pandemic, caused a major health crisis forcing half the world's population into quarantine. Immediately we were invaded by the mass of contradictory information from experts and scientists, virologists, physicians, administrative decision makers, information amplified by the mass media sometimes with little ethical concern, instead with a marked propensity for scoop, sensation and alarm for its own sake. In many countries urgent reorganization of hospital and territorial emergency care has been necessary, mobilizing health workers in a climate of widespread uncertainty
