Adlerian psychotherapy for couples

What happens when a couple enters into crisis? What symptoms do partners develop? The emotional bond between a couple is one of the basic needs for harmony and security for the individual; therefore, manifestations of defense against this balance are evident whenever there is concern for its stability. However, this bond is not stable and evolves over time as the couple evolves. There are several factors that can undermine the stability and evolution of the couple (aggression, idealization, sexuality), to the point where joint treatment by the partners becomes necessary. Adlerian psychotherapy addresses the couple in an attempt to provide both partners with an awareness of their defense mechanisms, to analyze the causes of the crisis, and to help them understand and rebuild their defenses against the inferiority complex caused by emotional failure. A clinical experience carried out on 96 couples is reported
