Abstract

Adlerian conceptualizations of the treatment of early childhood neuroses focus on the relationship between the child and the environment. The author analyzes the role of the mother as the first protective filter between the individual and the environment, through her lifestyle, in its various relational and personality manifestations, without neglecting other emotional figures. The article presents three clinical cases of children around two years of age, discussing the delicate therapeutic relationship and the relational intertwining between therapist, children, and their mothers
