Methodological proposal for the launch of a mode of institutional analysis in Adlerian terms

Alfred Adler, founder of Individual Psychology, focused his attention on highly relevant social issues, such as occupational diseases, social medicine, hygiene in living and working environments, and the relationship between scientific medicine and practical medicine. Although his approach was relatively fragmented, his theories contain highly topical insights into understanding social dynamics. Individual Psychology, despite having consolidated psychotherapeutic and psychopedagogical methods, still needs adequate development in social analysis. The author proposes extending the psychological approach from the individual to a collective vision that considers the dynamics between people, institutions, and the environment. Institutional analysis, according to the Adlerian view, is an opportunity to examine the functions, purposes, and internal contradictions of social institutions such as the family, school, hospital, and welfare facilities. This approach aims to explore power relations, authority, and the lifestyle of operators, as well as to improve communication and understanding within these structures. The methodological proposal calls for a critical analysis of institutions in order to understand their effects on social reality
