Observations and interpretative hypotheses on the subject of adolescent frigidity

This study examines issues related to female adolescent frigidity through the analysis of psychological and socio-cultural factors. Among the situations that recur most frequently in the genesis of this dysfunction are the lack of true psychological harmony with the partner (who is more often chosen for his aesthetic or social characteristics than for emotional and relational compatibility); the attachment to images and stereotypes of sexual acts transmitted by the media and the consequent loss of imagination, curiosity, and desire. All these components play a role in the inability to experience sexual intercourse as a fulfilling experience, not only in terms of physical aspects but also (and above all) in terms of emotional, relational, and affective aspects
