Analysis of the socio-cultural factors contributing to the increase in homophobia highlights a complex interaction between social evolution and individual perceptions. While society has shown increasing openness towards homosexuality, there are still residual stigmatization and condemnation that particularly affect males in specific family constellations (hypermasculine or, conversely, weak and passive fathers; authoritarian mothers; reversal of family roles). These elements can generate anxiety and insecurity, leading to phobias as a means of protecting oneself from a perceived threat. In this context, understanding the psychological and cultural dynamics is essential for addressing and treating such phobias
