Abstract

The article illustrates how the World Adlerian Congress confirmed the relevance of individual psychology by promoting dialogue with other psychotherapies and the need for critical development, emphasizing how the Italian school has contributed significantly with publications and international organizational presence.
Adlerian psychology differs from analytical psychotherapy in its unified and dynamic conception of the unconscious, overcoming determinism and instinctualism.
The authors hope for collaboration with similar schools, provided that specific conceptual and operational identities are maintained, since in their view progress consists in the coherent evolution of individual-psychological thought without ideological contamination
