Abstract

This paper describes a pilot project promoted by the UICC (International Union Against Cancer) aimed at general practitioners to raise awareness of cancer. The group is led by a “leader” and a “co-leader,” both doctors specializing in neuropsychiatry with training in Adlerian psychotherapy. The aim is not to provide information but to stimulate joint reflection.

The concluding observations on the progress of the group highlight a gradual process, from initial pessimism, characterized by passivity and disappointment at realizing that they were not passive recipients of knowledge but active agents, to genuine collaboration among the participants, awareness of real personal emotional enrichment, better adaptation to others, and a higher level of social awareness
