Abstract

Adlerian analysts, who establish an equal relationship with their patients without ever exercising any form of coercion, are precluded from making suggestive, uncritical interventions. The hypnotic tool, which the analyst makes available to the patient, allows the functional rest of the SN hemisphere (documented by electroencephalography) to create a better connection with the patient themselves, with the outside world, and with the therapist. Once the hypnotic state is achieved, the patient can modify their perceptions of the external world, vary the processing of sensations, emotions, and memory (with temporal regressions and even reliving of early memories). It is also possible to interfere with the activity of the autonomic nervous system, remodel behaviors and lifestyle, demonstrating that “in the living organism, an open system” (Tirone) - such as that of Individual Psychology (Rovera) - it is possible to achieve anti-entropic and finalistic effects. The treatment is illustrated by the statements of a patient with erythrophobia and a patient with agoraphobia
