The authors compared their experiences in a psychiatric clinic, a state elementary and nursery school, a family counseling center, a corporate neuropsychiatric counseling clinic, a convalescent home, and a nursing home for the elderly. The authors, who do not report the data from their observations analytically or their own analysis, found the following: I. In users:
A. Passive depressive attitudes
1. in the psychiatric clinic;
2. in the families of children with school problems;
3. in the elderly in the nursing home, who were admitted against their will and assisted only for their physiological needs;
B. Dependent attitudes
1. in the psychiatric clinic, especially in former patients;
2. in schools, among parents of schoolchildren requesting meetings to discuss their personal anxieties;
3. in family counseling centers, where the counselor acts as an advisor;
4. in the company neuropsychiatric clinic, where loyalty to work expresses the worker's will to power;
C. manipulative attitudes characterized by obsequiousness or victimhood
1. in the psychiatric clinic (demonstrative suicide attempts);
2. in schools (to obtain enrollment or after-school care);
3. in family counseling centers (to obtain subsidies);
4. in the company neuropsychiatric clinic (to obtain more satisfying jobs).
II. Operators may present
A. depressive defenses
1. in the psychiatric clinic, with skepticism about treatment and accusations against institutions;
2. in schools, with a lack of cooperation or outright ostracism of teachers towards the psychopedagogical service if cooperation has not been structured;
3. even in the company neuropsychiatric clinic, pessimism can be overcome by effective company organization;
4. The pessimism of operators in retirement homes, on the other hand, is part of a broader cultural attitude of society towards the elderly;
B. An attitude of dependence with overvaluation was observed in operators with whom collaboration had been established in schools, family counseling centers, and factory clinics;
C. An obsequious manipulative attitude was observed
1. in volunteers at the family counseling center;
2. in the company neuropsychiatric clinic. All these situations require individual psychological training for counselors
