Abstract

The inclusion of Individual Psychology within Depth Psychology is supported by the central importance of understanding the unconscious dynamics of the individual. Furthermore, unlike Freudian psychoanalysis, it also focuses on their interactions with real life, which makes it broader and more complete, a true “theory of man,” which can also be used in non-analytical contexts, such as psychopedagogy, counseling, and brief psychotherapy, if care is taken not to distort it. However, great attention must be paid to the training of ‘integral’ psychotherapists, capable of in-depth and comprehensive analysis, so that the result is not a superficial simplification
