Abstract

The text offers an in-depth reflection on psychotherapy, starting with a necessary semantic clarification of key terms such as psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, and analysis, highlighting their ambiguous use and cultural and professional implications. A classification of psychotherapies into surface and analytical is suggested in order to ensure theoretical clarity and user protection.

Ample space is devoted to the training of psychotherapists, distinguishing between analytical and non-analytical practitioners. Both paths require common minimum requirements (theoretical training, personality assessment, supervision), but analysts must also have in-depth personal analytical experience and a solid interdisciplinary background.

The question of entry requirements for training is complex: while recognizing the value of degrees in medicine and psychology, it also opens up to humanities degrees with a specialization in psychology, rejecting corporatist logic.

The text criticizes the idea of centralized public training, considering it unrealistic for structural and qualitative reasons, and instead recognizes the validity of many private schools, whether historical or well-established. It calls for regulation based on objective criteria, with an effective and impartial control system to counter the uncontrolled proliferation of inadequate training programs
