The article explores the concept of the “spoiled child” in Adlerian theory, examining the link between childhood experiences and neurosis. “Childhood spoiling” is understood as a privileged emotional relationship that generates difficulties in social relationships, pushing the subject toward compensatory neurotic or psychotic behaviors. The analysis of 40 cases highlights a correlation between spoiling, feelings of exclusion, and inferiority complexes, with different psychological manifestations. For treatment, the importance of early recognition of the patient's experiences emerges, using targeted strategies to avoid resistance or guilt.
