Abstract

This 90th issue of the Journal comes out at the end of the second year of the pandemic trajectory, at a time marked by increased confidence in the products of medical science; the Covid vaccine has proven effective in containing the harmful effects of the virus even as waves of contagion are renewed and keep anxieties alive. In the collective perception, a certain mental habituation to the presence of the virus seems to have developed; the media narrative of the pandemic has become less aggressive in its health tones and always uncaring, indeed disinterested, in the submerged psychic epidemic that analysts and psychotherapists are observing in professional practice
