ELENA’S CASE STUDY: FROM THE SOCIAL WITHDRAWAL TO A WORK ALLIANCE

Abstract

The situation presented in this case study describes the clinical work done with an adolescent girl with high functioning autistic syndrome. This condition resulted in a gradual social withdrawal which influenced the initial engagement and the establishment of the Work Alliance. This paper comes from the need to have a comparison with the trainers/instructors at the internship, but the primary need is to engage with the Adlerian community on the theme of adolescent social withdrawal which is a much more common occurence we see with generation than with adolescents in prior generations
