PLAYING AND ABSOLUTE TRUTH

Abstract

In this paper we want to continue our considerations on the theme of fiction; considerations which began with the congress in Milano, September 1991: «A Step from Reality», a Theoretical and Clinical Reflection on Fictions (see: Riv. Psicol. Indiv., n. 32). In particular, we intend to develop the concept that the wish for absolute truth is necessary and at the same time impossible: in accord with Adler’s thought, we think that our human and social condition always takes place, in a relative form, within the antithetic game of a feeling of impotence and a feeling of ideal omnipotence
