Abstract

Surprisingly, through a revision of some psychologic literature, it was found that the Individual Psychology was already well known and spred in Italy in the first half of our century. Adler himself published at least four works on important scientific italian reviews. Moreover he published and commented in his review an important tribute by Agostino Gemelli, which aroused exciting and rich exchange of ideas in the scientific world. The non-specifity of the terms used by the Individual Psychology and of the word “Individual Psychology” itself has always hindered the spreading of Adler’s ideas that for long time in Italy has been considered belonging to psychoanalysis. At the same time some important tributes to Individual Psychology to Adler’s doctrines have been published. This should be pointed to the Individualpsychologists’attention in Italy and in the world
