At the end of the last century and until the First World War, Vien, capital of a great empire, was in forefront of scientific research. Many scientists were involved in transforming in a real progress for the whole population the different achievements in every scientific branch, as shown in C. W. Adler’s work presented in this article. The series of writings of Alfred Adler about the physician as an educator, unpublished in Italy until now, are perfectly in line with this cultural point of view and here they are proposed and analyzed because they clearly show how Adler’s doctrine has been an accomplished way of thinking since the beginning and it is also an important point in the evolution of Freud’s work and of his familiar and his personal life
