Neurobiological data about the origin of sexual behavior and of cognitive differences between sexes will be exposed, comparing them to Adler’s theory of personality. Biological research supports theoretical statements and therapeutic strategies and may be a basic point for further psychological investigations. Biological data suggest that sexual behavior is setted by the action of sexual hormones at a very early stage of human life. FMRI investigation and autoptical research give evidence of differences in the brain both in the anatomy of structures (temporal lobe and corpus callosum) and in the organization of right and left hemisphere of the brain for the language. These data are involved in the onset of life style as Adler suggested and they may be of interest for individual psychologist
