Abstract

The flexibility of methodology in Individual Psychology allows to propose coordinated and varied operations that fit the treatement of psychotic patients living in  their family. In these last years we have experimented as therapeutic instrument the so called “individualized nursing group”: it appears like a well definite and personalized group, very technically qualified, composed by psychiatrists and psychologists of psychodinamic formation. The treatment is adressed to those patients which still maintain some ability of relationship and introspection and live in families which can cooperate. The group operates in an individualized setting which is specific for every family and we will give an example of our work. This operating style is not always easy because it requires a strong cooperation skill among therapeutists, dynamic balances between autonomy and mutual synergia, emotional compatibility among therapeutists. Even if it was addressed to a limited number of situationes, in our case histories, such methodology proved to be an effective therapeutic instrument and this was confirmed by the almost total absence of hospitalization, which was necessaryin  a previous time
