Abstract

The Journal of Individual Psychology is pleased to offer for the attention of its readers an unusual document, which is a very valuable record of the origins and development of that small circle which, beginning in 1902, met regularly on Wednesday evenings, at 8:30 p.m., in Freud's apartment at 19 Berggasse, to discuss problems of psychoanalysis: this is Minute No. 5, drafted by Otto Rank, relating to the Meeting of November 7, 1906*, the full text of which we propose to you, warmly thanking the Bollati Boringhieri publishing house for kindly granting us permission to publish it.
At the aforementioned meeting Alfred Adler presented a paper “On the Organic Basis of Neurosis,” in which we can glimpse in a still imprecise and incubating state the first formulations of what would become the foundational cores of his doctrine.
