Alfred Adler writes in Religion und Individualpsychologie, “I do not in any way consider it praise that Individual Psychology is sometimes emphasized for rediscovering many positions lost to Christian teaching. I have always endeavored to make it clear that Individual Psychology is the heir of all the great movements whose aim is the welfare of mankind. Although its scientific foundation obliges it to rigor, it is nevertheless eager as much to receive stimuli from every sphere of knowledge and experience as to return them. Individual Psychology is connected to all the great movements through that common impulse which guides the development of all science and technology toward the higher growth of mankind and the welfare of all”
