CRITERIA FOR BRIEF PSYCHOTHERAPY: AN ADLERIAN EXPERIENCE

By definition, Brief Psychotherapy is a treatment characterized by duration. Central is the discussion whether Brief Psychotherapy is always or in a few psychiatric diseases recommended. Most Authors as Malan, Sifneos and Davanloo pay attention to the selection of patients according to psychodynamic selection criteria. In particular, adlerian School suggest a standardized psychotherapy inaccordance with brevity and effectiveness, that underlines also the intellectual ability of the therapeutic agent as the empaty and the creativity. The results of a work are reported with regard to Drug Addiction treated with Brief Group adlerian Psychotherapy. The article focus on the clinical case of a alcoholic patient with Multidrug Addiction in her anamnesis and supposes that the complete remission of the case is not bounded by categorial diagnosis, but on one hand by the motivation and the insight of the patient, on the other by the empaty, the exact identification of the focus and the implacable monitoring of the controtransference in the complex and intense situation of the “vis à vis”
