School suicide is just the tip of the iceberg of youth unease. The school is not the cause, but is instead the best tool to identify and remedy the neuroses and all those discomforts produced by the feeling of inferiority and exclusion from society. Furtmüller contrasts Freud’s thesis that would like school to spoil the pupils, because school is an important time to face the tasks of life both in terms of work and friendships. Participation in the life of the students with a “feeling of collegiality” allows the teacher to understand and remedy even pathological situations. The bureaucratic and administrative commitments imposed on school evaluations are tools to guarantee undeserved privileges and must give way to actual teaching and care for people
