Abstract

In the last years, research in the field of neuroscience is supporting the efficacy of pharmacological and psychological therapies in determining changes in neuronal connections, consistently with the biopsychosocial model of the mind. Some implications of Individual Psychology can be found in the modern psychobiological theory of personality. Thus, psychiatrists and psychotherapists must consider the ethical and responsibility issues correlated to their job. An ethical training should be part of psychotherapists’ curriculum, and they should also develop an attitude towards research as an ethical need. The final objective is to develop an evidence based on practice together with a practice based on evidence
