At first the paper provides a short comparative description of some different brief adlerian psychotherapies. More in detail, the most relevant theoretical and technical issues of Brief-Adlerian Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (B-APP) are presented, comparing them with long-term adlerian psychotherapy and other short-term dynamic psychotherapies. Theory concerns metapsychological and psychopathological premises, process indicators (working on a focus, encouraging relationship), intensive and supportive strategies, conservative or mutative effectiveness. Then we discuss the meaning and the usefulness of dreams in psychotherapies. The theory and the practice of Individual Psychology is compared with the results of neurobiological research. Finally, we discuss the work on dreams during the sessions of B-APP, considering different technical instruments (not only interpretation), the termination of the treatment and the clinical objectives
