Perception is a fundamental topic in psychology, psychopathology and clinic. Alfred Adler and later the Compared Individual Psychology (CIP) have valued the apperceptive model (between subjective and objective, psyche and body, the theory of mind and of brain till the phenomenology of the body). Nowadays, the Adlerian model is based on the opinion we have about ourselves and the others.
This opinion arises from the first memories, the experiences in the family and in the cultural world, following own goals. The distorted perceptions in the life (basic mistake) concern the somato-psychic disorders, the extreme generalization, the false perceptions, the control of self-esteem, the excessive research of supremacy. Neurosciences make hypothesis to inspire further research. Therapy is based on selective perceptions and on the past, but also on memories, dreams and thoughts. The CIP considers the apperceptive model as the Precursor of the Life Style both in the clinical and in the therapeutic field. In this way, it is possible to prevent, to foresee and to plan some appropriate strategies, according to a mild finalism. Along this difficult path, the adlerian psychologist uses an interdisciplinary net which leads to therapeutic goals. With a real empathy towards the individual, the clinical psychologist modifies the unique and unrepeatable life of style
