In this paper a clinical example of Adlerian Psychodynamic Psychotherapy is presented. The diagnosis of the psychic disorder is preliminary discussed. The psychological dynamics underlying symptoms are subsequently investigated, mainly focusing patient’s dysfunctional aspects involving five core areas: identity, comprehension, negative emotions, behavioural dysregulation and social skills. Treatment plan and setting are then presented and the overall psychotherapeutic technique is described as psychopathology-oriented. Therapist’s choices are reported as referring to specific strategic axes, both considering relational and intrapsychic characteristics of the patient. Finally, psychotherapy development is described, from the early stages up to the terminal phase
