Three studies characterized by a subtle but intriguing thread that could exemplify one of the developmental paths of Individual Psychology over the past 70 years are offered in this issue 78.
This starts with a documented reflection on the schematic historical reconstruction of Alfred Adler's theory as it appeared to clinicians of the time to a phenomenologically-existential-trained scholar like Cargnello in a 1940 article in the journal Rassegna di Studi Psichiatrici; it proceeds with a study on the re-proposition of Social Feeling as the driving instance of the therapeutic alliance in the process of change, now explorable even with neurobiological brain imaging techniques open to interesting validations of the innovative Adlerian conceptualization; finally, the path continues with the clinical proposal of an Adlerian psychotherapeutic technique, the APP, conceived and formalized to be applied in the Mental Health Departments of the Italian Health System
